About strongRope docklines

This special double braid construction in solid black results in a rope that comgines high breaking strength with great elasticity and flexibility.  The polyester Cover provides UV and abrasion protection yet remains soft and easy to handle and splice.

Uses:  As a guide, boats approx 8 meter in length use 18mm line, boats 9 meter to 12 meter use 20mm line, boats 13 meter to 18 meter use 25mm line.

If your boat is heavier or creates  greater windage you may wish to choose the next larger size.

A general rule is that bow and stern dock lines should be two thirds the length of the boat, and spring lines a little longer, at least

as long as the boat.  If you boat is moored

to outboard pilings an additional bow

and stern line are required.
